Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Meyrick cited as type-species Alucita pelidnodactyla Stein, 1837, a nominal species not originally included in Mimaeseoptilus. At the same time however, Meyrick placed pelidnodactyla as a senior synonym of mictodactyla, a nominal species originally included in Mimaeseoptilus. Under the Code, Article 69(a)(iv), this designation constitutes the fixation of the originally included nominal species as the type-species.
