Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Mitothemma was originally placed in the Pyralidae, but was transferred to the Noctuidae by Hampson, 1895, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1895: 974. Poole (1989) included MITOTHEMMA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999).
