| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- Prout, 1912, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 129: 242, footnote, has shown that Warren's diagnosis of Mixocera was based on Nemoria parvulata Walker, which Warren had misidentified as Geometra indecretata Walker, [1863], ibidem 26: 1555; thus G. indecretata Walker sensu Warren = Nemoria parvulata Walker, [1863]. See Frontispiece 1, fig.3, Nemoria parvulata Walker, male. Under Article 70(a) of the Code, the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. Thelycera Prout, 1912 was established to denote a subgenus of Mixocera Warren, 1910 and was raised to generic level by Hausmann, 1994, Atalanta (Markleuthen) 25 (3-4), Dezember : 581. Parsons et al. (1999) included GYNANDRIA Turner, 1910 as a junior synonym of MIXOCERA Warren, 1901. Parsons et al. (1999) included 10 species in the genus MIXOCERA. |
