Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- The name Mycalesis safitza was, as stated by Westwood, originally proposed in manuscript by Hewitson. It was not published by Hewitson until twelve years after the issue of plate 66 of the Gen. diurn. Lep., appearing in [1862], (Ill. exot. Butts 3 : [80], pl. [40], fig. 4). The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
