Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- The name Morpheis as here applied by Geyer to the above Nymphalid butterfly is invalid, as it is a junior homonym of the name Morpheis Hübner, [1820] (Verz. bekannt. Schmett. (13) : 196), a name given to a genus of moths. It has been replaced by the name Anemeca Kirby, 1871. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
