Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Proposed, unnecessarily, as an objective replacement name for Polydesma Boisduval, 1833, which Blanchard considered to be a junior homonym of Polydesmus Latreille, 1802, in Sonnini's Buffon, Hist. nat. gén. et particuliére des Crustacés et Insectes 3: 44, - Myriapoda. See: POLYDESMA Boisduval, 1833. Poole (1989) included ANTHEMOISIA Blanchard, 1840; ANTHEMOESSA Agassiz, 1847; ANODAPHA Moore, 1885; and TRICHOPOLYDESMA Berio, 1954 as junior synonyms of POLYDESMA Boisduval, 1833.
