| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- N. bisignata is a junior subjective synonym of Hypena ineffectalis Walker, [1859] 1858, ibidem 16:85. Fletcher (1979) stated:- N. bisignata is a junior subjective synonym of Hypena ineffectalis Walker, [1859] 1858, ibidem 16: 85. Naarda was originally proposed in the Geometridae, but has since been transferred to the Noctuidae, where it was placed by Swinhoe, 1900, Cat. east. and Aust. Lepid. Heterocera Colln Oxf. Univ. Mus. 2: 215. Poole (1989) included NAARDA in the subfamily HERMINIINAE. Poole (1989) included PTYOPHORA Hampson, 1893; and EUBLEMMARA Betune-Baker, 1911 as junior synonyms of NAARDA Walker, 1866. Poole (1989) included 29 species in the genus NAARDA. |
