Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Nacna was proposed as the objective replacement name for Canna Walker, 1865. Nacna Fletcher, 1961 was treated in the Noctuidae, Acronictinae/Amphipyrinae in Nye 1975, Generic Names Moths World, 1 : 326. Nacna has subsequently been referred to the Acronictinae from the Pantheinae within the Noctuidae by Speidel, Fanger & Naumann, 1996, Systematic Entomology 21 (3) : 247. Poole (1989) included CANNA Walker, 1865 (preoccupied) as a junior synonym of NACNA Fletcher, 1961. Poole (1989) included 7 species in the genus NACNA.
