| Memo: | Nepticula Heyden, 1843 was treated as a junior [subjective] synonym of Stigmella Schrank, 1802 by Wilkinson, 1978, Tijdschrift Voor Entomologie 121 (2) : 16. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- "Nepticula Heyden" was also propsed by Zeller, 1848, Linn. ent. 3: 249 (key), 301, to denote a new genus containing aurella Fabricius. NEPTICULA was included within the subfamily NEPTICULIDAE: NEPTICULINAE by Davis, in Kristensen (1999). |
