Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Nesace was proposed, unnecessarily, as an objective replacement name for Pampa Walker, 1854. Kirby presumably considered that Pampa Walker, 1854, was a junior homonym of Pampa Reichenbach, 1854, J. Orn. 1 (Extraheft) Aufzählung Colibris: 4, 11, - Aves. But Sphenoproctus Cabanis & Heine, 1860, Mus. Heineanum 3: 11, was established as an objective replacement name for Pampa Reichenbach, 1854 (exact date of publication unknown), as Cabanis & Heine considered that Pampa was the junior homonym. |
