Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- N. variegata is a junior subjective synonym of Thaumatographe singularis Warren, 1907, Novit. zool. 14: 122. This genus was originally proposed in the Eupterotidae, but was transferred to the Geometridae by Prout, 1934, in Seitz. Gross-Schmett. Erde 12: 134. The date of publication of the part of Seitz containing page 134 is stated on page 133 of both the German and English editions to be 11.xii.1934. See also Thaumatographe Warren, 1907. Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Neuroanomala was established in the Eupterotidae; it was transferred to the Geometridae by Prout, 1934, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 12: 134. Parsons et al. (1999) included NEUROANOMALA Bethune-Baker as a junior synonym of THAUMATOGRAPHE Warren, 1907.
