There is no objective replacement name but Cicinnocnemis cornuta Holland, 1893, Jl N.Y. ent. Soc. 1: 181, is a junior subjective synonym and is available for use as a subjective replacement name. Ninia Walker, 1856, is a junior homonym of Ninia Baird & Girard, 1853, Smithson. misc. Collns 2 (5): 49, / Reptilia. There is no objective replacement name but S. plumipes Drury, 1782, is a senior subjective synonym of Cicinnocnemis cornuta Holland, 1893, the type-species of Cicinnocnemis Holland, 1893. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name.
