| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- A junior homonym of Northia Gray, 1847, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 15: 140, - Mollusca. There is no objective replacement name but G. nigrigemma is a senior subjective synonym of Zama cyanecula Herrich-Schäffer, 1855, the type-species of Zama Herrich-Schäffer, 1855. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name. Northia Walker, 1854, was established as a subgenus of Glaucopis Fabricius, 1807, and contained two nominal species, nigrigemma Walker and auxo Linnaeus; the latter was doubtfully included and under the Code, Article 68(c), is not eligible for fixation as type-species. |
