Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- B. dione Fabricius, 1793, is a junior primary homonym of Bombyx dione Fabricius, 1775, Syst. Ent.: 572, now in the Arctiidae. There is no objective replacement name but Bombyx dione Fabricius, 1793, is a senior subjective synonym of Bombyx petiveri Guérin-Méneville, 1845, Annls Soc. séric. Fr. 9: 270; the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name.
