Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- T. undulana Hübner, [1799] (a junior primary homonym of Tortrix undulana [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, -Tortricidae) is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena revayana Scolopi, 1772, Annus Hist.-nat. 5:116. There being no objective replacement name, the latter is thus available for use as a subjective replacement name. See also: Subrita Walker, 1866. Poole (1989) included NYCTEOLA in the subfamily NOCTUIDAE: SARROTHRIPINAE, which are included as a tribe within the NOLIDAE: CHLOEPHORINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included SARROTHRIPUS Curtis, 1824; AXIA Hübner, 1825 (preoccupied); SAROTHRIPUS Agassiz, 1847; SUBRITA Walker, 1866; SAROTRICHA Meyrick, 1888; ICASMA Turner, 1902; and DUFAYELLA Capuse, 1972 as junior synonyms of NYCTEOLA Hübner, 1822.
