| Memo: | Nye (1975) stated:- Nystalea was originally placed in the Noctuidae. Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- N. conchyfera is a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena ebalea Stoll, 1780, in Cramer, Uitlandsche Kapellen (Papillions exot.) 4: 41, pl.310, fig.C. Nystalea was established in the Noctuidae; it was placed in the Notodontidae by Möschler, 1878, Verh. zool.-bot. Ges. Wien 27 (Abh.): 693. NYSTALEA was included within the subfamily NOTODONTIDAE: NYSTALEINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). |
