| Memo: | OGDOCONTA was treated in the Noctuidae, Acronictinae/Amphipyrinae in Nye, 1975, 1 : 345. OGDOCONTA Butler, 1891 was referred from the Acronictinae/Amphipyrinae within the Noctuidae to the new subfamily CONDICINAE by Poole, 1995, The moths of America north of Mexico including Greenland. Fascicle 26.1, p.20. Poole (1989) included OGDOCONTA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (loc. cit.). However, Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999) included OGDOCONTA in the subfamily CONDICINAE. Poole (1989) included 12 species in the genus OGDOCONTA. |
