Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Antygophanes was originally proposed as a subgenus of Salpis Mabille, 1885. Parsons et al. (1999) included ANTYGOPHANES Prout, 1910; DASYSTOLE Warren, 1907; DISTAGMA Staudinger, 1899; LASIOPS Warren, 1895; MICRODONTOPERA Prout, 1910; PSEUDOSALPIS Staudinger, 1899; and SALPIS Mabille, 1885 as junior synonym of MALLOMUS Blanchard, 1852.
