Poole (1989) included CAECILA Walker, 1858; PIADA Walker, 1858; PHUMANA Walker, 1863; SPERSARA Walker, 1863; and MIMANUGA Warren, 1913 as junior synonyms of ANUGA Guenée, 1858. Poole (1989) included 18 species in the genus ANUGA.
