Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- "When Meyrick designated as type-species Phalaena forficella Scopoli, 1763, Ent. Carniolica: 248, a nominal species not originally included in Orophia, he also placed majorella, a nominal species originally included in Orophia, as a junior subjective synonym of forficella. Under the Code (Edn 3), Article 69(a)(v), this designation constitutes the fixation of the originally included nominal species as the type-species." - This is irrelevant as Walsingham had already designated Tinea denisella Denis & Schiffermüller, [1775] as the type-species pers. com. Dr Klaus Sattler. See also: Lampros Kollar, 1832; Lampros Treitschke, 1833. According to Dr Klaus Sattler (pers. comm.), Nye & Fletcher overlooked the earlier type-designation by Walsingham, consequently their conclusions regarding Orophia as well as Lampros Kollar and Lampros Treitschke are incorrect.
