Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- An Incorrect Original Spelling of Orthophoetus Watson, 1895. The generic name here in question was published in two Original Spellings, namely Orthophoetus and Orthophaetus. Of these the spelling Orthophoetus is, as explained in the note on Orthophoetus, the Correct Original Spelling under Article 32 (b) and Orthophaetus is the Incorrect Original Spelling. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
