Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Palaeoneura Turner, 1923, is a junior homonym of Palaeoneura Waterhouse, 1915, Trans. ent. Soc. Lond. 1914: 537, - Insecta, Hymenoptera. The objective replacement name is Archaeoneura Turner, 1944. However, Archaeoneura was treated in the Tineidae in Nye and Fletcher 1991, 6 : 28. Archaeoneura Turner, 1944, was transferred from the Tineidae to the Psychidae by Robinson and Nielsen, 1993, Tineid genera of Australia (Lepidoptera), p.327. So Palaeoneura is now also placed in the Psychidae. According to Robinson (pers. com.) PALAEONEURA Turner, 1923 belongs in the PSYCHIDAE.
