Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Dognin in 1914, used and made nomenclaturally available the generic name Parelectra prior to the proposal and generic description by Hampson of Paralectra, differing by one letter. Both generic names are used for a similar concept but have different type-species. Hampson's unpublished manuscript shows that he regarded these two species as congeneric. Poole (1989) included PARALECTRA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus PARALECTRA.
