Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- H. laetabilis Smith is a junior primary homonym of Hadena laetabilis Zetterstedt, 1839, Insecta Lapponica: 940. There is no synonym to use as a replacement name so I here propose Paramiana perissa nom. n. [Nye, 1975] for H. laetabilis Smith. Poole (1989) included PARAMIANA in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (loc. cit.). Poole (1989) included 5 species in the genus PARAMIANA.
