Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Xanthocrambus was diagnosed by Bleszynski, 1955, Z. wien. ent. Ges. 40: 266; three nominal species were included but no type-species designation accompanied the diagnosis. Under the Code, Article 13(b) genus-group names published after 1930 must be accompanied by the definite fixation of a type-species; * Xanthocrambus Bleszynski, 1955, does not satisfy those provisions and is therefore unavailable. In a subsequent use of Xanthocrambus, Bleszynski, 1957 ibidem 928 1: 450 referred to his original diagnosis and designated one of the originally included nominal species as type-species; Xanthocrambus is therefore available from 1957. See also: * Xanthocrambus Bleszynski, 1955.
