| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Phalaena stratiotata was established among the Geometridae, where the Linnaean species-group names ended with 'aria' or 'ata'; when it was transferred to the Pyralidae the ending was emended unjustifiably under the Code, Article 33(a)(ii), to `alis', in the combination Pyralis stratiotalis [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775 Ankündung syst. Werkes Schmett. Wienergegend: 121 footnote, 123. See also: Eustales Clemens, 1860; * Paraponyx Guenée, 1854. Shaffer (pers. comm.) treats PARAPOYNX in the CRAMBIDAE: NYMPHULINAE. |
