Memo: Parsons et al. (1999) included COMIBAENA Herrich-Schäffer, 1855; DREPANODES Guenée, 1857; HALESA Walker, 1860; and HEMIOPLISIS Herrich-Schäffe, 1855 as junior synonyms of PATALENE Herrich-Schäffer, 1854. Parsons et al. (1999) included 41 species and 4 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus PATALENE. Pitkin (2002) included Hemioplisis Herrich-Schäffer, 1855; Comibaena Herrich-Schäffer, 1855; Drepanodes Guenée, [1858]; Halesa Walker, 1860; Astatomorpha Warren, 1894; and Porona Schaus, 1901 as junior synonyms of Patalene Herrich-Schäffer, [1854] 1850-1858.
