| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) and Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Pemphigostola was originally proposed in the Castniidae; it was transferred to the Apoprogonidae by Hampson, 1918, Novit. zool. 25: 377 and thence to the Agaristidae by Hering, 1928, in Blüthgen & Hering, Ent. Z., Frankf.a.M. 42: 176. Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- Pemphigostola was established in the Castniidae, Pemphigostolinae; it was transferred to the Apoprogenidae, now Apoprogonidae, by Hampson 1918, Novit. zool. 28: 73. Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus PEMPHIGOSTOLA. |
