Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Aplotes was established in a key on page 12. On page 48 Herrich-Schäffer replaced Aplotes by Metriotes probably as he considered the former name to be preoccupied by Aplota Stephens, 1834. Herrich-Schäffer therefore acted as his own first reviser and Metriotes has been the name in use ever since. See also: Asychna Stainton, 1854.
