| Memo: | Phemiades pseudophineus Hübner, 1819, is the type-species for Phemiades Hübner, 1819, by subsequent designation by de-Jong, 1983, Journal of the Lepidopterist's Society 36 (4) : 286. This replaces the type-species: Papilio phineus Cramer, [1777], Uitl. Kapellen 2 (15) : 123, pl. 176, fig. E., after its rediscovered and examination. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008). See images at Butterflies of America where it is treated in the Hesperiinae : Hesperiini. |
