Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Grote, 1873, established that Sphinx satellitia Linnaeus sensu Harris, 1839, ibidem: 299, was a misidentification of Daphnis pandorus Hübner, [1821]. See Frontispiece, fig.6, Daphnis pandorus Hübner, female. Under the Code, Article 70(a), the case of a misidentified type-species should be referred to the Commission. Kitching & Cadiou (2000) list ARGEUS Hübner, 1819; DUPO Hübner, 1819; PHILAMPELUS Harris, 1839 and PHOLUS Hübner, 1819 as junior synonyms of EUMORPHA Hübner, 1807.
