| Memo: | Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Invalid type-species designations. 1. Pindicitora zeuxoalis Walker, 1863, a nominal species doubtfully included in Pindicitora, was designated by Warren, 1892 Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (6) 9: 172; and by Bleszynski, 1963 Acta zool cracov. 8 (3): 121. Under the Code, Article 67(h), a doubtfully included nominal species cannot be validly designated as type-species. 2. Surattha invectalis Walker, 1863, a nominal species not originally included in Pindicitora and not linked with one of the originally included nominal species when designated by Shibuya, 1928, J. Fac. Agric. Hokkaido imp. Univ. 22: 53, where the generic name was published as * Pindicitra, an incorrect subsequent spelling. |
