Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- P. niphostena Hampson is a junior secondary homonym of Sor[o]costia niphostena Lower, 1896, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust. 20: 153, both having been placed in the genus Nola Leach by Son, 1933, Ann. Transv. Mus 15: 213. The objective replacement name for P. niphostena Hampson is Nola steniphona Son, 1933, ibidem 15: 213. Poole (1989) included LIRA Billberg, 1820; CHLAMIFERA Hübner, 1822; ROESELIA Hübner, 1825; DIMONA Walker, 1858; MANOBA Walker, 1863; CELAMA Walker, 1865; SELCA Walker, 1866; TRIBUNTA Walker, 1866; ARADRAPHA Walker, 1866; MINNAGARA Walker, 1866; LEBENA Walker, 1866; ARGYROPHYES Grote, 1873; SOROCOSTIA Rosenstock, 1885; EPIZEUCTIS Meyrick, 1889; STENOLA Möschler, 1890; RHYNCHOPALPUS Hampson, 1893; and POLIOTHRIPA Hampson, 1902 as junior synonyms of NOLA Leach, 1815.
