| Memo: | Fletcher (1979) stated:- The names are dated from the wrapper, not from the title-page, which is dated 1850-1858. Warren, 1894, Novit. zool. 1: 456, discussed Polla and restricted it to praelataria but the restriction did not constitute a valid type-species designation; the present designation preserves Warren's concept of the genus. Parsons et al. (1999) included 15 species and 2 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus POLLA. |
