Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- P. saldonana is a junior subjective synonym of Sphinx appendiculata Esper, 1783. A junior objective synonym of Procerata Berthold, 1827. Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Incorrectly included by authors in the Pyralidae Crambinae, the placing being based on incorrect type-species designations. For further information, see Fletcher & Nye, 1982, Generic Names Moths World 4: 131. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- A junior objective synonym of Procerata Berthold, 1827. Proceras was attributed by Bojer to Hübner, an incorrect authorship.
