Memo: Hemming (1967) stated:- Scudder overlooked the fact that Hübner had placed two species in this genus and accordingly stated that the above was the type-species by monotypy. This misconception of Scudder's does not however invalidate his action in this matter (Article 69 (a) (iii)). The taxon represented by the nominal species Psalidopteris nycha Hübner is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the older-established nominal species Hesperia thucydides Fabricius, 1793, Ent. syst, 3 (1) - 323. The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
