Memo: Pooler (1989) included PSEUDOHADENA Alphéraky, 1889 in the NOCTUIDAE : AMPHIPYRINAE, subsequently restricted to the genus AMPHIPYRA by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Other genera formerly treated in the subfamily AMPHIPYRINAE are treated as HADENINAE by Kitching & Rawlins (loc. cit.). Poole (1989) included RHIZA Staudinger, 1889 as a junior synonym of PSEUDOHADENA Alpheraky, 1889. Poole (1989) included 32 species in the genus PSEUDOHADENA. Jaxartia Pungeler, 1914 was downgraded to denote a subgenus of Pseudohadena Alphéraky, 1889 by Ronkay, Varga and Fabian, 1995, Acta Zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 41 (3) : 265. Jaxartia was treated in the Noctuidae, Cuculiinae by Nye, 1975 Generic Names Moths World, Vol 1 : 263 Pseudopseustis Hampson, 1910 was downgraded to denote a subgenus of Pseudohadena Alphéraky, 1889 by Ronkay, Varga and Fabian, 1995, Acta Zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 41 (3) : 276.
