Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- A junior homonym of Pseudoleucania Staudinger, 1899, Ergebn. Hamb. Magalhaensischen, Sammelreise 4 (7): 73, -Lepid., Noctuidae. The objective replacement name is Protoleucania McDunnough, 1937. See: PROTOLEUCANIA McDunnough, 1937. Poole (1989) included PROTOLEUCANIA McDunnough, 1937; and PSEUDOLEUCANIA McDunnough, 1937 (preoccupied) as junior synonyms of FARONTA Smith, 1908.
