Poole (1989) included PTERODONTA R.L., 1817; EPHEMIAS Hübner, 1821; EUPHAIS Hübner, 1822; and GONOPTERA Berthold, 1827 as junior synonyms of SCOLIOPTERYX Germar, 1810.
