Poole (1989) included PTISCIANA in the subfamily NOCTUIDAE: SARROTHRIPINAE, which are included as a tribe within the NOLIDAE: CHLOEPHORINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). Poole (1989) included ARGYROTHRIPA Hamspon, 1894 as a junior synonym of PTISCIANA Walker, 1865. Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus PTISCIANA. |
