Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- A junior homonym of Pyralopsis Boisduval, 1870, Considérations Lépid. Guatemala: 94 - Lepid., Pyralidae. There is no objective replacement name, but P. peruviensis was stated by Munroe, 1958 Proc. 10th int. Congr. Ent. 1: 301, to be a senior subjective synonym of Neobanepa aglossodes Hampson, 1919, the type-species of Neobanepa Hampson, 1919; the latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name.
