Memo: Nye & Fletcher (1991) included PYRODERCES in the family COSMOPTERIGIDAE. Hodges, in Kristensen (1999) included PYRODERCES in the subfamily COSMOPTERIGINAE. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- P. goldeggiella was a Fischer von Röslerstamm manuscript name made nomenclaturally available by Herrich-Schäffer, 1853; in 1854, ibidem 5: 212, he placed it as a junior subjective synonym of Cosmopteryx argyrogrammos Zeller, 1847, Isis Oken, Leipzig 1847: 37.
