Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Rhinaphe was established in the `Phycideae', now Pyralidae Phycitinae; it was transferred to the Pyralidae Peoriinae by Shaffer, 1976, Syst. Ent. 1: 281, 326. In the original combination of the type-species the generic name was published as * Phinaphe, an incorrect (of a multiple) original spelling. See also: Ampycophora Meyrick, 1882; * Phinaphe Berg, 1875. Rhinaphe Berg, 1874 was treated as a valid genus and brought out of synonymy by Yoshiyasu, 1993, Japanese Journal of Entomology 61 (3) : 595.
