Memo: Poole (1989) included RIVULA in the subfamily OPHIDERINAE, treated as CALPINAE by Kitching & Rawlins, in Kristensen (1999). However, the latter included RIVULA in the subfamily HYPENINAE. Poole (1989) included CHOLIMMA Walker, 1863; MOTINA Walker, 1863; RHAZUNDA Walker, 1866; PASIRA Moore, 1882 (preoccupied); and RIVULANA Bethune-Baker, 1911 as junior synonyms of RIVULA Guenée, 1845. Poole (1989) included 76 species in the genus RIVULA.
