Memo: Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:- A junior homonym of Sagaris Panzer, 1806, Kritische Revision Insektenfaune Deutschlands 2: 91, Insecta, Hymenoptera. There is no objective replacement name but the type-species of Sagaris Walker, 1854, is conspecific with the type-species of Phavaraea Walker, 1854. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name. Sagaris was established as a subgenus of Josia Hübner, [1819], at that time placed in the Lithosiidae. J. stygne is a junior subjective synonym of Centronia rejecta Geyer, 1832.
