Memo: Fletcher (1979) stated:- Scioglyptis was used by Guest without any indication that it was a new generic name. The name was probably obtained from Meyrick as an identification and was unintentionally made nomenclaturally available before Meyrick's generic description was published. Parsons et al. (1999) included PARATHEMIS Warren, 1898 as a junior synonym of SCIOGLYPTIS Guest, 1887. Parsons et al. (1999) included 6 species and 2 subspecies (inc. nominates) in the genus SCIOGLYPTIS Huest, 1887 and a further 1 species in the genus "SCIOGLYPTIS".
