Memo: Nye (1975) stated:- Scleroplusia Ichinose was originally proposed as a subgenus of Autographa Hübner, [1821]. It is, however, a junior objective synonym of Macdunnoughia Kostrowicki, 1961. See: MACDUNNOUGHIA Kostrowicki, 1961. Poole (1989) included SCLEROPLUSIA Ichinosé, 1962; and PLURIPLUSIA Chou & Lu, 1974 as junior synonyms of MACDUNNOUGHIA Kostrowicki, 1961.
