Memo: Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:- Agassiz did not included any species but referred Setia to Oken, 1815. Tutt, 1902, Nat. Hist. Br. Lepid. 3: 348, considered * Setia Oken to be a classical [unjustified] emendation of Sesia Fabricius, 1775 (see above). Setia Agassiz, 1846, is a junior homonym of Setia Meigen, 1829, Syst. Beschreibung eur. Schmett. 2: 103, - Lepid., Sesiidae and an unjustified emendation of Sesia Fabricius, 1775. The Lepidoptera part of Nomencl. zool. (Nom. syst. Generum Anim.) was included in fascicles 9 and 10 issued in one wrapper dated 1846. See also Checklist of the Sesiidae of the world (Lepidoptera: Ditrysia) by Dr. Franz Pühringer.
