Memo: Sphagiocrates Meyrick, 1925, was referred to the Xyloryctidae (provisionally) from the Lecithoceridae by Gozmany, 1978, in Microlepidoptera Palaearctica, Amsel, Gregor and Reisser [Eds] Volume 5, Lecithoceridae, p. 263. Sphagiocrates was treated in the Gelechiidae by Nye & Fletcher, 1991, 6 : 283. Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- Sphagiocrates was included in the "Gelechiadae" by Fletcher, 1929, Mem. Dep. Agric. India (Ent.) 11: 206; it was included in the Timyridae, now Lecithoceridae, by Clarke, 1955, Cat. Type Specimens Microlepid. Br. Mus. nat. Hist. descr. E. Meyrick 1: 21; and was transferred to the Gelechiidae by Clarke, 1969, ibidem 7: 380.
