(Ins.) 16, fig. 5; [1838] ibid. (Zool.) 2 (2) (1) : 281 (as Satyrus tristis), [this replaces - Satyrus tristis Guérin-Ménéville, [1838], in Duperry, Voy. "Coquille", Zool. 2 (Sect. 2) 1 : 281, pl. 15, fig. 5 (on plate as Argynnis tristis), (in Hemming 1967, 416)]. Spinantenna Hayward, 1953 was treated as a valid genus and was bought out of synonym by Adams, 1986, Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society 87 (3) : 275.
